C.O.R.S.E. FOR KIDS WALK AND FAMILY EVENT

On October 28th 2006 the CORSE Foundation held its first annual “Walk the CORSE for Kids” Family Event. We would like to thank all the volunteers and families that joined us at St. Mary’s Parish Center despite the inclement weather. Families were able to enjoy food, arts and crafts, face painting and music, while coming together as a community to support our kids. We would also like to extend our gratitude to our Sponsors, Supporters and our kids who collected pledges.

On May 20th, 2006 the Scituate CORSE Foundation held its 1st Annual Gala and Auction. The event, “Celebrate the Gift of Community”, was the first major fundraiser for the Foundation, held at the Scituate Country Club and was attended by 185 guests. The evening included a dinner buffet, music, and both a silent and live auction. The fundraiser was a tremendous success with over $20,000 raised for the Foundation. The Foundation’s Board was overwhelmed by the generous support from the community in all aspects of this first endeavor: everything from the auction donations, lively bidders, to the tireless work of the volunteers. The evening was not only remarkable in the amount of funds raised; it was a wonderful evening to come together as a community of parents, educators and friends in support of our children with special needs.

 

Next year’s event is already in the planning stages and has been scheduled for Saturday May 12th, 2007. PLEASE SAVE THE DATE! Back by popular demand, silent and live auction items will include sporting event tickets and memorabilia, evening entertainment packages, and boating excursions.
