“Hit the Course” for C.O.R.S.E. Golf Tournament

On September 28th 2007, the Foundation held its first annual “Hit the Course” for CORSE Golf Tournament at the award winning Widows Walk Golf Course in Scituate, Massachusetts. Over 100 golfers, both skilled and amateur, had a great time under blue skies in the scramble style tournament with a shot gun start. Following the tournament, golfers and friends were invited to a dinner and auction at the River Club. Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner, a silent and live auction, raffles, and the tournament winners were announced.
A special thanks to all those that planned and supported this successful event: co-chairs Jen Roche and Kristin Erickson, the golf tournament committee, our sponsors, and all the individuals and businesses that donated to the tournament.
The proceeds of over $13,000 will aid the CORSE Foundation in continuing its efforts in providing supplemental resources and programs to students with special needs in our community.
Walk the CORSE for Kids

On Saturday October 13th 2007, the 2nd annual “Walk the CORSE for Kids” family event was held at St. Mary’s Parish Center in Scituate, Massachusetts. Participants enjoyed a beautiful 2 mile walk along the coastline under bright blue skies. Afterwards, families gathered together for food, refreshments and activities for the children in the parish hall. A big thank you to all of our sponsors: Barry Brothers Disposal, T K O’Malley’s, Clay Nissan, Atlantic Bagel, Granite City, Steven and Meghan Helle, Scituate Federal Savings, Annese Electrical Services, Scituate Concrete Pipe Corporation, Terry and Laurel Link, Anderson Fuel, Braga and Associates, Burkhardt Brothers Inc., John R. Mulcahy Insurance.
2nd Annual Gala and Auction

On May 12th, 2007 the CORSE Foundation held its second annual Gala and Auction at the Scituate Country Club. The evening included a dinner buffet, music, and both a silent and live auction. The fundraiser was a tremendous success with $30,000 raised for the Foundation. The Foundation’s Board was overwhelmed by the generous support from the community in all aspects of this event: everything from the auction donations, lively bidders to the tireless work of the volunteers. The evening was not only remarkable in the amount of funds raised; it was a wonderful evening to come together as a community of parents, educators and friends in support of our students with special needs. Our heart-felt thanks to all of our contributors.
